He would go out in the middle of the night for fresh saltines because I discovered a tear in the package I had and they were stale. He would scrub the toilets every day so I could have a fresh place to throw up, rather than smelling pee (which is a huge, huge gift). It was like he tried to be as with me in the trenches as he could. With my first pregnancy, I actually liked the expression "we're pregnant", because I felt like my husband *chose* to be as involved as he physically could be.
